Taking the chance!

The past few months I have been thinking a lot about my career as an athlete, past results, life, financial and next goals. The reality is that being an athlete is really hard work, not only on training but with everything else in life.

After the Hits full distance Naples, I went to some hard emotional phase, a lot was coming into my mind. Now, few months later, I decide to take a higher chance and I am giving myself a few more shoots, but I really want to push as hard as I can. The fact is for a long time I didn’t feel that I could push really hard in an full distance Ironman. After all the storm (mental storm) I was able to analyze the Naples race (and other past events in deepth) . Even with the 45 min wait because on my front tire I did an 9 54 full. That in my mind is a 9 15 ironman, specially  because I have done Ironman Arizona 7 weeks before. In Naples race I was able to push the marathon like I never did before.

With all that, I decide to reduce stress and focus more. One of the biggest challenge is financial, in terms of racing. For example to race ironman, after ironman trying to reach of maximum performance can be expensive. That why I am creating a campaign to generate more sponsors, in this way I can really focus in push as hard as I can.

My next race is Ironman Cozumel, where back in 2011 I did one of my best race and I am looking forward to it.
